WASTE MANAGEMENT NOTICE

After emptying the compactor today, Waste Management informed staff that wet paint and lumber were found in the compactor.

Wet paint is a hazardous material and is NOT allowed in the compactor. If you have paint that needs to be disposed of, you need to let it dry out before putting it in the compactor.

Lumber is also NOT allowed in the compactor, as it could damage it. You can dispose of lumber at the Chelan Transfer Station.

Remember, the compactor is under video surveillance and there is a $300 fine for disposing of anything in the compactor that is not allowed.
